2/3 Cup Shortening
2 2/3 Cups Sugar
4 Eggs
1 Cup canned Pumpkin
2/3 Cup Water
3 1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
2 Cups Dates, chopped
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Grease and flour pans.

Using mixer, cream well the shortening, sugar and eggs.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Pour into pans.

Bake: 2 Bread Loaves: 1 hour -or-
6 Small loaves: 40 minutes -or-
Mini loaves: 25-30 minutes

These breads are usually made in the small bread pans in November. Then frozen to give out at Christmas.
