Ingredients: Full: 1 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 t. vanilla 2 T. milk 2 ½ c. flour
Half: 1/2 c.butter 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 T. milk 1 1/4 c. flour

Directions: |
Directions:Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and milk. Add flour gradually. Divide dough in half. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 2 hours. Can be frozen in advance. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Use parchment paper or silpat on cookie sheet. Back 8-10 minutes until slightly browned. Cool slightly then transfer to wire rack to finish cooling. |

Notes: We used to make the doughs for our Christmas cookies the weekend after Thanksgiving,then freeze them. The next weekend, we'd bake the sugar cookies and freeze them. Right before Christmas, we'd do the final baking and decorating. With two kids and two jobs, it was the only way. Ashley was always artistic. Adam used a lot of Ford Blue and created obscene reindeer to aggravate his mother.Cousins Michael and Brian Indrelunas joined in the chaos a few years marching around the kitchen in protest of Christmas chores!
