Ingredients:  
1/2 c butter
1 c flour
1/4 c brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 egg white
1/2 - 3/4 c crushed walnuts
Directions:
Directions:
Separate whit of egg and egg yolk & place in separate bowls.
Mix butter, flour, brown sugar and egg yolk together and roll into balls.
Beat the egg white slightly.
Dip the balls into the egg white.
Roll in crushed walnuts.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
With a finger, press a hole in top of the cookie.
Bake @ 350 for 5 minutes.
Remove from oven and press in the hole again.
Place a cherry half or jam into the hole in the cookie.
