1/2 c. raisins
1 c. dried peaches
8 dried apricots
1/2 c. dried apples (and any other dried fruit as desired)
pinch of salt
1/2 to 1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp, cinnamon
3 tbsp. cornstarch liquefied in 1/2 c. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Cook fruit over medium heat in 4-8 cups of water. Boil till all fruit is soft. Add sugar slowly. When sugar is dissolved, thicken by adding the liquefied cornstarch. Stir continuously. When thickened to desired consistency, remove from heat and add the vanilla and cinnamon. Serve.

Serving suggestions: serve warm, topped with whipped cream or ice cream. Serve over shortcake, or pound cake and top with whipped cream.
