1/2 cup Shortening
1/2 cup Sugar
1 Egg, beaten
1/2 cup Molasses
21/4 cups sifted Flour
2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Ginger
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 cup Water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 375º
Cream Shortening and Sugar until light and fluffy. Add Egg and Molasses. Mix well. Sift together Flour, Baking Soda, Ginger, Cinnamon and salt. Add dry ingredients alternately with water. Drop by heaping tsp. on ungreased baking sheet. Cool and store in tightly covered container.
