4-5 cups all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 packages active dry yeast
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup butter or margarine

Directions:
Place 3 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and undissolved yeast in mixer bowl. Attach dough hook and turn onto speed 2 for 1 minute.

Combine milk, water and butter in saucepan. Heat over low heat until liquids are very warm (120º to 130ºF). Butter does not need to melt.

Turn mixer to speed 2 and gradually add liquid to mixture. Continue on speed 2 while adding remaining flour, until dough clings to hook and cleans sides for bowl. Knead on speed 2 for 7 to 10 minutes or until dough is smooth and elastic.

Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover: let rise in warm place, free from draft, for 15 minutes.

Turn dough onto floured board. Shape as desired. Cover: let rise in slightly warm oven (90ºF) for 15 minutes. Bake at 425ºF for 12 minutes or until done.
