1 1/3 cups sugar
½ cup shortening (butter is better!)
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
½ cup potato starch
¾ cup cornstarch
Or substitute Bob’s Red Mill GF All Purpose Baking Flour for both starches above
¾ cup Equal Exchange Baking Cocoa powder (it is Dominican)
1 teaspoon baking powder (or 2 teaspoons may be better)
3 teaspoons guar gum
1 cup milk
¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla flavoring. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well to remove all lumps using a power mixer because it is stiff.

Spread batter into greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake 18-22 minutes, until toothpick inserted in middle of brownies tests clean.
