HOMEMADE BREAD
I can smell it baking now
As my memory is led,
Back to the kitchen of yesterday
And mother's homemade bread.

I can see it in the window
As she placed it there to cool.
There she'd slice a thick white piece
When we came home from school.

I still can taste the flavor
of the first warm buttery bite
I think that I shall make
Some homemade bread tonight!
