1 c. sugar + 1 ½ c
1 Tbsp hot water
8 eggs
1 ½ c sugar
1 Tsp vanilla
½ Tsp salt
1 qt scalded milk

Directions:
Directions:
Place 1 c. sugar in a pan and caramelize it. Remove from heat and add water, stirring constantly and well. Pour into 12 individual cups, set aside.
Beat eggs till frothy, add 1 ½ c. sugar, vanilla & salt. Beat well, gradually add milk, pour into custard cups. Place cups in 13 x 9 pan, add 1 inch hot water and bake at 350* for 25 – 30 minutes or till knife comes clean. Refrigerate before serving.
