6-6.5 cups flour
½ cup sugar
2 t. salt
2 pkgs active dry yeast
½ cup butter or margarine
1 egg
2 c. hot water (120-130 degrees)

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl combine 2.5 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Add butter.
With mixer at low speed, gradually pour 2 cup hot water into dry ingredients. Add egg and beat 2 minutes. Add more flour, until it forms a soft dough. Grease hands with Crisco and squeeze dough between index and thumb to form dough balls about the size of golf balls.

Place into greased bread pan or sheet cake pan.

Bake at 425 18-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.

I usually double this recipe for special meals as it makes 2 sheet cake pans full.
