1 c Sugar
1 c Powdered Sugar
1 C Vegetable Oil
1 c softened Margarine
2 Eggs

4 1/2 c Flour
1 Tsp Cream of Tartar
1 tsp Salt
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla

Glaze:
1 lb Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
6 Tbsp white Karo syrup
2?? Tbsp Hot water (can go up to 2 Tbsp- start w one tsp & continue until you get the right consistency)
Add food coloring of your choice

Beat the first set of ingredients 1-5 together. Then add the second set of ingredients 6-10 together & chill the dough several hours or overnight.

Roll into 1" balls on a greased cookie sheet. Take a glass that has the bottom dipped in sugar & slightly flatten each cookie dough ball

Bake at 350 for 8 min & cool.

Warm glaze up in microwave (try 30 seconds & then 15 seconds after) - take a knife & spread a thin layer of glaze on cookies.
Allow cookie to dry on a cooling rack.
