1 C. Butter
1 ½ C Powder Sugar
1 Egg
1 Tsp Vanilla
2 ½ C Flour
1 Tsp Soda
1 Tsp Cream of Tartar
¼ Tsp Salt
1 ½ C Crushed Filberts ( Brazilian nuts)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter & sugar until fluffy; add egg and vanilla, blend well. Add remaining ingredients, stir well, wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 350*
Roll out half the dough at a time on a lightly floured surface until 1/8’’ thick, cut into different shapes. Bake 10 – 12 minutes, remove to a rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 6 dozen
