½ cup Crisco
1 cup sugar
1 egg
½ cup molasses
½ cup lukewarm water
1 t. ground cloves
½ T. allspice
½ t. soda
1 T. baking powder
1 cup raisins
1 cup chocolate bits
3 cups Plain Flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cream Crisco, sugar and egg; add sifted dry ingredients alternately with water and molasses. Add chocolate bits and raisins.
Drop onto greased sheet and bake at 350* for 20 minutes
