1 lb ground beef
1/2 chopped onion
1 large clove garlic, minced or chopped
Optional 1/2 chopped green pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp dried parsley
1 can tomato paste
1 large can diced tomatoes
elbow macaroni

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté ground beef with onion, garlic, italian seasoning, parsley, and green pepper, if using.

If the beef is less than 90% fat, drain excess fat off after browning but leave a small amount of liquid for flavor.

Add the tomato paste and canned diced tomatoes and stir to make a meat sauce. Let the sauce simmer on very low heat while pasta cooks.

Boil macaroni according to directions on package and drain. Mix the pasta with the sauce and enjoy!

This is my "go to" recipe. It is fast and easy to prepare. It always reminds me of mom. She always said just look in your refrigerator and add what you think should go in this basic recipe. I have added all kinds of different ingredients such as barbeque sauce, cheese or corn, etc.
