I grew up 500 miles from Grandma Myers' house in Clinton, Indiana. I would get to see her a few times a year. We would go there over Christmas and in the summer. She would come visit us in Titusville once or twice a year. Grandma Myers introduced me to French Toast. I always looked forward to French Toast with grandma. She would let me stand on the chair next to the stove and “help” her make it. She would always make a big deal about having to cook an entire loaf of bread because I ate so much! She was just making me feel important! Every time I cook or eat French Toast, I think about Grandma Myers and standing on the chair. Mom now makes French Toast for Griffin & me when we come home.

About Grandma coming to visit us. It seemed like mom only cleaned when Grandma came. Mom always made us clean everything. One time I hadn't heard anything about Grandma coming but mom was making us Clean, Clean, Clean. So Doug & I said, "Are you sure Grandma's not coming?"~Bobby

Dustin asked me why we cleaned so much when Grandma came to visit. I told him it was our way of showing Grandma how much we loved her by having everything fixed up nice for her. He said, "Well you know, when you go to work she cleans all day until you get back home!"~Marty
