8 c. water (divided)
1 ¾ c. granulated sugar

1 ½ c. fresh lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Allow syrup to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.

Juice lemons and remove seeds, leaving pulp. In a pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice, and remaining 7 cups of water.

Chill and serve.

Papa says this is the best lemonade he's ever tasted! I typically lower the amount of sugar to between 1¼ cups and 1½ cups for less sweetness.
