4 c white sugar
3 c melted butter or margarine
4 c molasses ( can be 1/2 corn syrup, 1/2 molasses)
2 c milk
10 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
8 c flour
3 lbs. raisins
2 lbs. currants (can use more raisins or glazed fruit instead)
1 lb. glazed fruit
1 lb. walnuts
1 lb. maraschino cherries

Directions:

Mix well all together and bake in slow oven 300 degrees 3 hours or till done. Grease pans and line with greased brown paper. Put open can of water In oven as it bakes. Cool on wire racks and peel off paper. Cover well and leave in dry cool place for couple months before eating. Makes 8 - 10 loaves of cake.
