2 c sifted flour
2 1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
6 T butter
3/4 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda together. Cut in butter with 2 knives or pasty blender. Add buttermilk and mix quickly but thoroughly. Turn onto floured board, knead lightly for a few seconds, roll out to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut. Place on buttered baking sheet and brush with milk.

Bake in very hot oven (450 degrees) 12 to 15 minutes or until bron. Makes 20 small biscuits.

Found this recipe in Grandma Allen's box. Said to use ARDEN butter and milk so recipe had to be from 1950's when Grandpa Allen worked for Arden Farms.
