3 1/2 to 4 cups milk...............1 c oil
2-3 pkg dry yeast...................4 eggs
1 c sugar...............................2 tsp. salt
9-10 c flour

Directions:

Scald the milk. Add the oil, cool to lukewarm. Add 2-3 pkg of dry yeast

In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs, sugar and salt until light. Add the milk mixture and 6 cups of flour, beat well. Add 3-4 cups more of flour until you get a soft dough
Cover and let rise until double, about 1 1/2 hrs

Punch down, form into rolls on a greased pan, let rise again about 30 minutes or so

Bake at 375º for 12 minutes

Hint for proofing bread dough: turn on light in cold oven.
Cover dough and put in lighted oven, perfect temp for proofing bread dough.
I don't make "from scratch" rolls often, but these are great. They are slightly sweet---------- right from the oven with a slather of butter.......heaven!
This recipe makes a LOT........ So it's perfect for a large group or for gifting.
My dentist and I used to trade a bottle of his prized homemade WINE for a doz. rolls each Thanksgiving.
