¾ c. shortening/margarine or butter
¾ c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, beaten
1 pkg. Jell-O (3 oz)
¾ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2¾ c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Mix in Jell-O, salt, baking powder and flour. Bake in waffle iron at medium heat for approximately 70 seconds. Lift off with fork. Frost as desired. I like to sprinkle with colored sugar after frosting them.

This is a drop-cookie I have adapted to be cooked in the waffle iron. They are GREAT at Christmas time as red, green, or yellow treats! It of course, depends on what flavor Jell-o you use!
