½ c. butter or margarine melted
¾ c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
6 T. cocoa or 1 square baking chocolate
1 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and sugar. Add eggs, cocoa, flour, vanilla and salt. Heat waffle iron to just past medium. Drop spoonsfull of batter in center of each square OR smaller spoonsfull in alternate corner of each square, depending how large or small you want the cookie. Bake for 70 seconds! Lift off with fork. Cool and frost as desired. I like to use a chocolate butter cream.

These are almost like a brownie type cookie. I have doubled the batch and had them finished from start to finish (not frosted) in about an hour. They go like hotcakes and are so-o-o easy to make IF your iron is hot enough and they set right.
