⅓ cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 teaspoon rum extract
2 eggs
½ cup chopped glazed cherries
½ cup peel
1 cup chopped dates
1cup chocolate chips
½ cup pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F

Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add rum extract and eggs (one at a time). Add flour mixture (small amounts at a time) to butter mixture. Add fruit and dates. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350°F -375°F oven for 12-15 minutes. Check after 10 minutes. When slightly colored take out of oven.
