3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup (8 ounce carton) dairy sour cream
cinnamon-sugar

Preheat oven to 400°F

Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, and soda. Cream butter or margarine with sugar until well-blended in a large bowl; beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift in flour mixture, adding alternately with sour cream and blending well to make a thick batter. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls, 4 inches apart, on greased cookie sheets; spread into 2-inch rounds; sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Bake in 400°F oven 12 minutes, or until lightly golden around edges. Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely on wire racks.
