2 c. light brown sugar
¼ c. water
¼ c. butter
2 c. pecans

Directions:

1. heavily butter 2 platters or large sheet pan lined with wax paper.
2. in large saucepan, measure sugar, water and butter.
3. stir with wooden spoon over low heat until sugar is dissolved and comes to a boil.
4. stir in nuts and turn heat to medium.
5. boil slowly about 5 minutes until temperature reaches 234 F or soft ball.
6. immediately, form pralines by dropping one tablespoon into greased pan..


*if mixture gets hard, add a few drops of hot water
