1/2 c warm water
1 tsp. white sugar
1 pkg. dry yeast
3 1/2 c more than warm water
1/2 c white sugar
1/2 c Crisco
1 heaping tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 c flour
8 - 9 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Grease a plastic pail or large bowl. Stir 1/2 c warm water and 1 tsp. sugar together and then add the yeast. Cover and let sit for 5 - 10 minutes till yeast grows.
Stir together the next 4 ingredients and then add vinegar and 1 c flour. Beat well with a whisk. Stir in yeast. Add 8 - 9 c flour by mixing with hands till not sticky. Place in pail or bowl and let sit covered for 2 hours. Punch down dough and roll in balls in baking pans and cover and rise for 20 minutes more. Bake in 375 degree oven till brown.
