2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
6 T chilled butter
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 tsp lemon peel
1/2 tsp lemon extract
2/3 cup Buttermilk
2 T milk
Sugar for sprinkling on tops

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter till crumbly. Stir in dried cranberries & lemon peel.

Pour in buttermilk with lemon extract and stir with a fork until mixture holds together. Gather into a soft ball and gently knead a few times on a floured surface.

Pat out dough to an 8-inch circle and cut into 8 wedges. Place 2" apart on a greased baking sheet (or use parchment paper) and brush tops with milk. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake in preheated 425º oven 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. Best served warm. Enjoy!
