Grandma Lammerman's Ranger cookies Recipe

1 cup softened butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs

1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup flour
3 cups oatmeal

C.
1 cup nuts, chopped, (pecans or walnuts)
1/2 cup coconut (if you like it)
1/2 cup chopped apricots, or raisins or dried montmarcy red cherries. Which ever you like.
At least 1 cup of chocolate chips, can use yogurt chips, as well, to taste. May want to use 1 1/2 cups of chocolate, etc. chips

Preheat oven to 350º

Mix ingredients in A. together with a mixer, start with butter and sugars, then add eggs and vanilla. When creamy, then add

Ingredients in B. Mix well, will be somewhat stiff. Then add,

Ingredients in C. Dough will be stiff and you will be ready to bake the cookies!

Spoon a nice rounded teaspoon full on a greased cookie sheet. About 12 at a time.

Cook at least 12 minutes, check to see if they're nice and brown, then probably add a few more minutes.

My mother, Jane Lammerman, made these and my children and grandchildren all love them. Now all of my children and older grandchildren make them.
