Directions:
Directions:
Peel potatoes - medium size, cut in half.
Submerge in water, salt, cover, and boil. Turn heat to medium, check every 5 minutes until done. Done when fork easily pierces the potato.

Boil eggs separately. Uncover (tilt lid) before boiling over, set on medium for 5 minutes. Turn off but leave pot on stove, now covered, until potatoes are done, then cool with cold water.

Refrigerate potatoes and eggs separately overnight. Refrigerate both dry and uncovered (eggs still in shells).

Next day:
Cut, chop potatoes fine. Peel, chop eggs fine.
Submerge a dab of dehydrated onions in about 2 tsp milk, soak a bit.
Fold potatoes and eggs in large bowl with Miracle Whip®.

Stir in about 2 serving spoons (~1/2 cup) sweet pickle relish.
Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of sugar and add the milk-soaked dehydrated onions.
Fold until thoroughly mixed.
Optional - add celery and/or garlic salt.

Personal Notes:
Louise: I use dried onions. Soak them in 2 T milk, which restores their liquid. Mix together with mayonnaise. Many people find real onions too harsh. Dried onions are a good substitute.
