1 cup yellow corn mean
1/2 cup flour
2 1/4 tsp baking powder
1 to 1 1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup buttermilk beaten with one egg.
Oil for Frying

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in skillet to 365 degrees
Mix meal, flour, baking powder and salt with fork.
Stir in last 3 ingredients just till moist.
Shape in ovals using 1 tbsp each.
Fry for 30 to 40 seconds.
Makes 24
