1 1/2 cup butter softened
3/4 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup almonds finely ground
1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
Choice of jam or preserves for filling (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter, honey and vanilla on medium speed. Add almonds and flours mix until blended. Wrap 4 pieces in plastic wrap refrigerate at least 2 hours.
2. Roll dough 1/8" thick on lightly floured wax paper, cut with 3" heart cookie cutter. Make a shallow thumbprint fill with a small amount of jam.
3. Bake 325ºF oven cookies 12-14 minutes or until edges are browned cool on baking sheet 2 min transfer to cooling rack
