Sugar
Lard
Salt
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Allspice
Raisins
Baking soda
Flour

Directions:
Directions:
- 2 Cups of water
- 2 Cups of Sugar
- 2 tablespoons of Lard
- 3/4 teaspoons of salt
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of allspice
- 1 cup of raisins

Boil for five minutes, let cool.

Add:
- 3 Cups of flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda

beat well. Pour into a baking dish and bake in a 400 degree oven for 35 minutes.
Walnuts may be added to mixture before baking if you like.

'This is a very moist cake. We all enjoyed it when Gram made it. Gram never frosted this cake but i suppose you could if you like. Good luck. If it comes out good you can bake me one'. Love Mom.
