1 ½ c shortening
2 c sugar
½ c molasses
2 eggs
4 c flour
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger
½ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together dry ingredients and set aside. Cream together first four ingredients. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Blend well. Chill. Form into balls and roll in sugar. Bake at 375° 8-10 minutes. For chewie cookies, do not over bake.
