2 large packages cherry jello
1 large can whole cranberry sauce
1 small can of crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped pecans

Prepare jello according to directions on package and add cranberry sauce. Chill until thickened. Add pineapple and nuts and chill until firm.

This was my Mother's basic recipe. Over the years she might add cream cheese to the mixture. It's good either way.
Another good saying of Maw-Maw's you might remember was "You're acting like a chicken with it's head cut off." I think she killed many chickens in her day so she'd know what she was talking about here. And that's another thing she hated...chicken. She said if you knew what chickens ate you wouldn't eat one either. That's scary. I don't think I want to know.
