1 quart milk
1/2 cup rice
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Stir in "scum" every 20 minutes or so after 1st hour, and when it begins to thicken let crust form and brown. Bake 3 hours in slow oven. (250º-300º)

This doesn't look like much of a recipe, but it was transposed from Nanny's actual recipe book a LONG time ago. I thought it was worth including, because it was UNBELIEVABLY delicious! So, you might have to try it to see.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I remember going over to Gram and Pop's house and Nanny had made this rice pudding and I was jealous of the Scotts because they got to eat her cooking all the time! :) And I mostly remember everyone requesting the "brown" that she mentioned. Nanny would scrape it off the top and add it to the top of your pudding. Yum.
