2 - 1/2 cups pretzels, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup or a little less granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
Gallon of your favorite ice cream

Directions:

Blend crumbs, sugar and butter. Press firmly along sides and bottom of a 9" glass pie plate.

Bake at 400º for 10 - 12 minutes, until golden brown.

Let ice cream stand at room temperature before filling pie shell. After pie has cooled down, scoop your favorite ice cream into pie shell. Top with chocolate syrup or fudge sauce.

I always made this for my kids and their friends when they were home. I would ask their friends what their favorite flavor ice cream was and then named the pie by the flavor they chose, for example "The Tony" was coffee ice cream with mini chocolate chips on top! It was always a big hit! This recipe came originally from Taylor's Grammie!
