1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 c. raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, cream together butter or margarine and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda.
Stir in flour, oats, nuts and raisins, and mix until just blended.
Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325*F for 12 minutes. Cool cookies on a wire rack.
