4 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 teaspoon maple flavoring
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and water in sauce pan. Heat and bring to boil. When the mixture starts to boil reduce heat so it will continue to boil slowly for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and add flavoring. Serve with pancakes or waffles hot or after it has cooled.

The flavor of the syrup is much closer to real maple syrup because it is not made with corn syrup. Poppy loves to have this on his Belgian waffles.
