1 tsp. ground cardamon
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter at room temperature
1 egg


Icing:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
1/4 tsp. ground cardamon
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 cups powered sugar

Preheat oven to 350º

Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

In a small bowl whisk together first five dry ingredients and set aside. In large bowl, with mixer or medium-high speed, cream sugar and butter for about 2 minutes. Add egg and beat until throughly combined. Reduce speed and slowly add dry ingredients; beat just until combined.

Roll dough into 1 teaspoon size balls, place on paper lined sheets about 2 inches apart. With glass, carefully press flat. Bake at 350 º for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven. Cool 2 minutes before removing cookies from sheets.

Icing: In large bowl with mixer on medium speed beat butter and vanilla until fluffy. Add milk and spices, beat well. Reduce speed and carefully add powered sugar to reach desired consistency. Frost cooled cookies. This is a very ample amount of icing.
