4-5 lbs Pork ( pre-cut for stew)
7-8 lbs Beef (pre-cut for stew)
2 bunches green onion
2 bunches celery
2 - 14oz cans bean sprouts
3 - 5oz cans slices water chestnuts
1 package dry mushroom
2 – 5.25 oz jars bead molasses
2 – 13.5 oz cans mushrooms
(pieces & stems)
3 packages chop suey mix
4 – 14.5 oz cans beef broth
Parsley
Garlic
Meat Tenderizer
Steak Sauce
Worcestershire Sauce
Soy Sauce
Water
Cooked Rice

PREP INGREDIENTS
• Pork & Beef: Cut into cubed bite size pieces removing all the fat except a very thin amount
• Green Onions: Wash & chop into small pieces
• Celery: Wash & chop into small pieces
• Bean Sprouts: Drain, cut in ½ & then ½ again
• Water Chestnuts: Drain, chop into smaller pieces
• Dry Mushrooms: Break into pieces
• Mushrooms: Drain, cut into smaller pieces

DIRECTIONS

1. In large stock pot, combine pork & beef
2. Season meat with Parsley, meat tenderizer & garlic
3. Cook on HIGH heat until brown & juice almost gone
4. While meat is browning, combine mushrooms, bean sprouts & water chestnuts in large bowl and set aside
5. Once meat is brown, add the following ingredients one at a time and stir thoroughly before adding the next ingredient
a. Green onions
b. Beef broth
c. Worcestershire sauce (couple times around the pot)
d. Steak sauce (couple of times around the pot)
e. Soy sauce
f. Bead molasses
g. 6-8 cans of water
h. Mushroom, bean sprouts & water chestnuts mixture
i. Chop suey season mix
j. Celery
k. More water until about 2 inches below handle of pot
6. Bring to rolling boil
7. Reduce heat & simmer 1 –1 ½ hours
8. Served over cooked rice
