1 Box Stove Top Turkey Stuffing
1 stalk celery
4 medium mushrooms
1/2 onion
4 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Dice the celery, mushrooms and onion
2. Saute in 1 tbsp. butter until tender. Add a couple dashes of salt, garlic powder and black pepper and set aside.
3. Bring 1 1/2 cups of cold water and the remaining butter to boil in a 3 qt. pot.
4. Add the sauteed vegetables, including the liquid in the pan.
5. Add the stove top stuffing and thoroughly mix through.
6. Cover the pot and remove from heat. Let pot sit for 5-10 minutes
7. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
8. Fluff with fork and you are ready to serve.
Note: You can reduce butter to a total of 2 tablespoons for a lower fat, lighter version

There are times when we make a turkey breast and still want stuffing to go with it. There are also times when we didn't want to start making an in-bird scratch stuffing .There are even times when we wanted stuffing when we weren't even making a turkey at all! I tried the Stove Top stuffing as directed on the box but it didn't have much flavor. So I experimented with variations and found this one to be the best.
