1 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup Crisco Shortening
¼ tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 cups Flour
2 Eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, sugar and peanut butter in a large bowl. Mix well. Combine flour, salt and soda and add to wet ingredients, mixing until consistent dough is formed. Form dough into small balls, 1-inch or slightly bigger, and place on a greased cookie sheet. Mash balls flat with a floured fork in a cross pattern. Bake in a 350°F oven for 15 minutes. Keep an eye on them as they can easily burn on bottom.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is my favorite cookie and mom made them often. It's hard to go wrong with peanut butter. They are best fresh out of the oven with a glass of cold milk. This recipe makes about 36 cookies. I like to make about a dozen at a time. Just wrap the dough in plastic wrap and keep in refrigerator until you're ready for the next batch.
