4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. rich COOL chicken broth

Directions:
Boil chicken slow (about 1 1/2 hours) with a couple of chicken bouillon cubes. Remove chicken from stock. When chicken is cool, separate from skin and bone. Once broth in pot is cool and after you have removed 1 cup for dumplin's, add milk and butter if needed. For Dumplin's, sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Add COOL chicken broth. Mix and blend thoroughly. Either roll dough very thin on a lightly floured surface and cut in squares OR drop from wet teaspoon into boiling broth. Cover tightly and cook for about 20 minutes. When Dumplin's are finished cooking, add chicken pieces to rewarm. Serve hot and ENJOY!!

Personal Notes:
Grandma Miller's Chicken and Dumplin's were one of your favorite things to eat at her house and they were one of her favorite things for her to cook us for lunch when we came to visit. She really enjoyed watching you all eat them. ;)
