Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/4 lb. melted butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 tablespoons sugar for dusting
1 cup self-rising flour*
1 cup milk
2 cups fresh blackberries rinsed and patted dry

*Self rising flour:
1 cup unbleached flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat to 350. Grease 3 quart baking dish with butter. (I just use a spray). In microwave, melt butter. Whisk flour, 1 cup sugar and milk. (add baking powder and salt if making your own self rising flour). Then whisk in melted butter and pour into baking dish. Sprinkle berries evenly over batter then sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar. Bake for 50 minutes then sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Variations: Try different fruits, fresh or frozen. If the fruit is too wet, the cobbler will be soggy. Toss berries with the 1/4 cup sugar first.
