Heat in saucepan:
5 C. crushed pineapple
1-1/4 C. sugar

Dissolve gelatin in water:
3-3/4 T. plain gelatin (make sure to measure this out and not est. packets)
1-1/4 C. cold water

Add to pineapple mixture.

Mix in 2-1/2 8 oz. packages of softened cream cheese until smooth.
Fold in 2-1/2 C. whipped cream or Cool Whip

Stir in:
2 T. lemon juice
1 C. chopped maraschino cherries
5 T. cherry juice
