1/2 cup butter
3 cups white cornmeal (or any other cornmeal or mixture thereof)
1 cup flour
2 T. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
3 cups buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Place butter in a 13X9-inch pan; heat in oven at 425º for 4 minutes.

Combine cornmeal and next 5 ingredients; whisk in eggs and buttermilk.

Pour hot butter into batter, stirring until blended. Pour batter into pan.

Bake at 425º for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
