1 lb. Beef (London Broil)
salt 1 tsp. cornstarch
2 lb. fresh asparagus
2 med. yellow onions
2 cloves garlic
salad oil
3 tbsp. canned beansauce
1 tsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cut meat in 2 1/2" strips, then across the grain in 1/8" strips. Put meat in bowl - add salt, cornstarch and 2 tsp. soy sauce. Cut asparagus on a sharp diagonal 1 1/2" - 2" long. Heat wok or deep pan and add 1/2 c. salad oil. Add crushed garlic and cook until pale and brown. Add meat and cook until almost browned. Remove to bowl. Add 3 tbsp. more oil. Add onion. Cook a little bit and add bean sauce. Cook until onion is transperant. Add asparagus, 1 tsp. salt, sugar and 1 tbsp. soy sauce. Cover and cook until asparagus is tender. Add meat and cook until reheated.
