"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Directions:
In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes (the longer you beat it, the fluffier your cookies will be). Add egg & combine well. Add sour cream and vanilla and mix until completely blended. Slowly add the flour mixture and stir until well combined. Gently press the batter into a greased 9x13 pan and spread out with hands (will help to butter your hands). Bake at 375º for 17-20 minutes or until edges become lightly golden. Set aside to cool completely.
FROSTING: In a medium bowl, cream together butter, powdered sugar & half and half until light & fluffy. Stir in vanilla and salt, combine well. Add food coloring until desired color. Frost the cooled cookie bars. Cut into squares.
