1 loaf sandwich bread
1/2 lb ground pork (not sausage)
5 eggs
2 stalks celery
3 onions
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp all spice
2Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp sugar
handful raisens
2-3 apples
pinch salt
pinch pepper

add giblets if you enjoy them

Directions:
Directions:
saute' onions & celery in butter till translucent

Place all ingredients through a meat grinder alternating moist and dry ingredients.

Add milk if too dry.

Place in the Turkey just before roasting.

Roast per usual guidelines for weight of the turkey, stuffed.

This was the stuffing I grew up on. My Grandma Wirz (my mother's mother) used this recipe...and old German recipe handed down through her mother. I've never been able to replicate it exactly, but it was my favorite!!
