1 lb. margarine, softened
2 C. sugar
3 eggs
1 t baking soda dissolved in 1T hot water
1 t vanilla
5½ C flour
1 t salt

Directions:
Directions:
The secret to tender and tasty cookies is to roll them in confectioners' sugar rather than flour.

Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time.

Add soda water and vanilla

Stir in flour and salt. Chill well.

Roll on pastry cloth or board that has been sprinkled with confectioners' sugar. Cut in desired shapes.

For perfect baking, place on parchment lined or ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in 400 °F oven for 7-8 minutes. Do Not overbake!
