1 can each - green, yellow, and kidney beans, drained
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3/4 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup vinegar
1/3 Cup oil

Directions:
Directions:
Place drained beans into mixing bowl. Add onions and pepper.

Heat sugar, vinegar, and oil until the sugar melts.

Pour over bean mixture and add spices.

Chill for 2-3 hours before serving.

Grandma loved to make this - as you can tell by now this whole "sweet and sour thing" is really big with the Pennsylvania Dutch! This is a great winter salad, also, because canned veggies are readily available and inexpensive.
